My best memories of the first meeting

I think my best memory of the April meeting was when the Turkish students had just arrived in the station and we were waiting for them.
At this moment I had a lot of feelings. First I was excited to get myself into one adventure I didn't know, or just by the paper: " Can you be host family for a Turkish correspondent ? ".of course I can… but I was also afraid '...will I get on well with her ?'

When they went out of the bus I had the impression that they brought all Turkey with them.
The first impact was curious, we looked at each other, looked for our correspondent, trying to recognise her/him thanks to the photo they sent us before…

It was the first time I felt that our project was not just on the paper.

The restaurant dinner with our family, the initiation to raki drinking after the catwalk with everybody, the afternoons in town, the first debate, the discussions…

For me the important thing for an international meeting is to discover other cultures, and lifestyles. I think it is important not to sit in class but discover countries, towns, food, lifestyles, and everything because to use the language this is more useful and this is when your mind is free.
