- When did you begin to sing ?

Bugu: I began in 3rd grade with the chorus, and I continued my music life with the school orchestra.

- Which singer made you realise that you like singing ?

B: There are many… for example, I really enjoy Christina Aguilera’s singing. At times, I love the way Alanis Morissette uses her voice.

- What do you think about male singers ? Do you have a favorite one ?

B: Of course !My favorite male singers are Matthew Bellamy and Freddie Mercury.

- Which band is your favorite?

B: My favorite band is Muse I just adore them

- You said that you are a member of the school orchestra, can you give us more

information about it?

Yes of course! Our orchestra is 6 years old and this is my 5th year in the band. There are 18 of us. We play in many different musical styles. However we prefer Pop & Rock. We are a new orchestra but we have played in many high school and university festivals. We have experienced the feeling of playing on live television and radio too. We have also won many prices from KASDAV: an important high school music competition for the best orchestra, the best cover song, the best singer and a 2nd place of composing our own song. Some of our band members are also in this Regards Croisés project. My friends Can and Mikail.

- So what is your latest project?

Besides Regards Croisés, We are going soon to the San Remo festival in Italy.

- Did your family support you in all your choices ?

B: Yes they have always supported my choices and they help me to develop my talents.

- Was it easy for you to record your first song Jewel ?

B: No it wasn’t easy at all. It took nearly a day for me to record my first song.

- How did you start writing songs? What are the topics you are talking about ?

B: I find literature interesting and I was writing many poems and short stories before, so I used that knowledge in song writing. As with many song writers my main topics are about love and life.

- Where do you find your inspiration ?

B: From my own life and the people around me who also inspire me. Maybe I will write a song about Grenoble when I get home!

- How do you qualify your style of music?

B: I listen to many types of music but I mostly prefer alternative and rock music.

- Do you think music is universal?

B: I think music is universal because music can connect two different characters and lives in one song. It can be a bridge between two cultures and it can be the greatest friend of our feelings and moods.

- Do you play any instruments?

B: I played piano for about 8 years but I have now started playing the electric guitar.
