Who was Comenius ?

Jan Amos Komensky(1592-1670), better known under his latin name Comenius. He was a pedagogist, philosopher, writer, theologian and politician. Born in Moravia (Czeck republic), Comenius became known because of his revolutionary ideas about education and human condition.
A Moravian brother, he wrote ' an open door to languages'and is seen as the leader of modern pedagogy. His idea of a community of nations makes him the precursor of European Union.
