The European Parliament

The European Parliament has three places to meet : in Brussels, in Luxembourg and in Strasbourg. Its President is Hans-Gert Pöttering, a German, who is elected for a renewable term of two years and a half.
In the Parliament, there are 785 members. They represent their country. For a country, they are 27members. They are elected for five years. Now, in the Parliament, members speak 23 languages, which is an immense linguistic challenge. To visit the Parliament in Brussels, visitors must be at least 14 years old.
