Below you’ll find several links to British press and Broadcast media. Of course there are also many U.S. sites we could add like Time, Newsweek, the Scientific American, The Nation, U.S. News, National Public Radio, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times or the Washington Post. Then there are Canadian sites like Maclean’s, and several in Australia, New Zealand, and Ireland as well.

UK Press

- The Times (ex broadsheet, now Murdoch Newscorp: good archives)

- The Financial Times (serious financial analysis, much read in the City)

- The Guardian (serious news broadsheet with good archives)

- The Observer (sister paper to the Guardian)

- The Telegraph (Tory flagship, good foreign coverage)

- The Independent (fairly serious news coverage)

- The Sun (Murdoch popular tabloid: big circulation, reading age 12 years old)

- The Daily Mail (the Tory tabloid: quite readable)

- The Daily Express (less serious and more left wing than the Mail)

- The Scotsman (regional but surprisingly serious)

- The Mirror (lightweight nonsense: the flagship of the Maxwell Mirror group)

- The Evening Standard (daily with a strong focus on London events)

- The People (Sunday rubbish from the Maxwell Mirror stable)

- Metro (a free London daily with celebrity gossip)

U.K. Broadcast media
