Bayern Cheesecake

This exquisite cooked cheesecake, originally from Bayern in Germany, is delicious yet so easy and simple to make!Not expensive to bake, but very rich in taste!

What you will need:

For the base:

- 200g flour

- 1/2 pack baking powder

- 1 egg

- 75g sugar

- 65 g butter at room temperature

For the filling:

- 200g sugar

- 1 cup oil

- 4 eggs

- 500mL mlk

- 1 pack vanilla sugar

- 1 pack pudding powder

- 1 kg cream cheese (philadelphia, st moret, etc...)


• Preheat the oven at 175°C.

• For the base, you will need to mix the softened butter, the flour, the baking powder, the sugar and the egg. Now kneed the dough. Then spread it with your fingers on the bottom of the, already greased or buttered, bottom loose tin evenly.

•For the filling:

Whisk the eggs and sugar together. Then fold in the vanilla sugar and pudding powder. Pour in the milk and oil. Now stir thoroughly. Once smooth, fold in the cream cheese until the mixture is fluffy.

• Finally lay the filling on top of the dough base and slip the pan into the oven for 1h15 minutes.

• Once cooked, pop the, cooled down cake, into the fridge for atleast 48 hours.
