Elizabeth is the second daughter in the Bennet family. She has four sisters : forgiving and naive Jane, studious Mary, Kitty easily influenced by a flamboyant and flirtatious Lydia. Her mother is obsessed with marrying her daughters to wealthy men and does everything in her power to achieve this. When a rich Mr Bingley moves into the area, she immediately attempts to attach him to one of her daughters. Although Mr Bingley is a wealthy man, his friend, Mr Darcy, is even wealthier. Mr Darcy is first seen as being a proud, elegant, and unamiable a man. Neither Darcy nor Elizabeth will find true love until pride and prejudice overcome both of them. I think that this classic is interesting as it brings back the old times alive.
