The Jackalope

Thursday 1 April 2010, by Louisa Wilberforce

Like the German Rasselbock, the Jackalope (Lepus-temperamentalus) is one of the rarest animals in the world. A cross between an extinct pygmy-antelope and a killer-jackrabbit, it is extremely shy and cannot be approached. None has ever been captured.

Jackalopes are also known as "antelabbit, aunt benny, "Rabbicorn", Wyoming thistled hare, stagbunny or deerbunny".
